What is RustLegacy?
A community restoration of Rust Legacy, bringing the original game's world and systems to a rebuilt Windows client. This is an unofficial project, independent of Facepunch Studios.
Is the client available to download?
Yes. Download the Windows client as a 323 MB RAR archive. Extract the complete folder before running RustLegacyRemakeClient.exe.
Is this the same as modern Rust?
This project focuses on the earlier Rust Legacy experience: its familiar landscape, inventory, combat, crafting and building.
What PC do I need?
The current client targets Windows. Confirmed minimum hardware requirements will be published after performance testing.
